In this part of Gothenburg way out west by the River Göta you´ll find the core of our history. The remains of an old fort, the Älvsborg Slott. Beautiful wodden buildings from the 18 traded with and set sail for China. There are also a number of intersesting old brick buildnings dating back to the time when the Scotsman David Carnegie started a beer brewery and built a Scotch village with a church, school and blocks of flats. Here you can also enjoy the view of all ships entering and leaving Gothenburg. View our images from Klippan’s cultural reservation.
